The 130th Slot Conference for the 2012 IATA Winter Scheduling Season will be held in Barcelona, Spain from June 14-16, 2012.

Slot Coordination Switzerland (SCS) is an independent non-profit organisation responsible by federal decree for seasonal airport slot planning and allocation, slot monitoring and schedule data collection in Switzerland. Presently SCS provides these services for the airports of Geneva and Zurich.

With the onset of congestion during some periods of the day at a few major airports in the early 1960’s, the scope of the schedule discussions was broadened to cover the adjustments needed to reduce anticipated delays to an acceptable level.

With 800 delegates, from some 200 airlines and representatives of over 150 coordinated or schedules-facilitated airports, this bi-annual "working conference" is IATA's largest event. The goal of the conference is for airlines and airports to obtain the slots that will give them the best possible schedule to offer their customers.

Online Coordination (OCS)

Online Coordination System (OCS) provides registered aviation customers with an Internet based 24 hour service to request slots or make changes to their existing slot portfolio by editing records of their schedules directly in the database. A comprehensive range of tools allows customers additionally to query, sort, view and download slot and schedule information in a wide variety of formats. Real time slot availability of 60 airports worldwide is available also for non-registered users.
